RULES & TERMS

Films Submitted will not be returned.


2)

Multiple versions of the same film will not be considered.


3)

Only the first submitted version of a film will be considered.


4)

If the submitted film does not play, CFF will make an attempt to contact the applicant based on the contact information supplied at the time of submission in order to obtain a replacement. If a replacement is not available, CFF reserves the right to disqualify the film without refunding the submission fees.


5)

CFF will attempt, but is under no obligation, to view a submission that arrives after the designated deadline without refund of the submission fee.


6)

Submitted films that qualify based on the regulations and eligibility requirements stated here will be seen by CFF programming staff and be considered equally with all other submissions.


7)

CFF reserves the right to disqualify any film for non-payment of the submission fee. NYFF will attempt to contact the applicant based on the contact information supplied at the time of submission in order to resolve non-payment status.


8)

CFF is under no obligation to provide comments regarding submitted films to any applicant. The festival is not responsible for any internal comments obtained by the applicant regarding their film.


9)

Students (under 18) 
We encourage students (under 18) to submit films to our festival. Special rates exist.


10)

Filmmakers are encouraged to attend the festival although attendance is not required.


11)

Submissions must be made through filmfreeway.com.


12)

Upon acceptance of your film, a DVD or Blu-Ray Disc will be required and additional information will need to be provided in a press kit or through email with Writer, Director, Cast, and additional information.


13)

Work can be submitted via online streaming.


14)

Feature-length Films and Documentaries must be between 80 – 120 minutes maximum.


15)

Short Films and Short Documentaries must be between 3 – 45 minutes maximum.


16)

Films in any language other than English must be subtitled in English.
